Ufone shines at the Etisalat Group CMO Forum
ISLAMABAD: December 01, 2009 – Ufone, an Etisalat group company and one of the leading telecom companies in Pakistan recently won two awards at the Etisalat Group Chief Marketing Officer (GCMO) Forum held in Dubai recently.
Ufone has been a key company within the Etisalat operations around the globe and has been a preferred ground for fast growth market exposure within the group. At the event held Ufone won two awards in a competition amongst 18 Etisalat operations around the world. Each nomination was evaluated and selected by an independent committee. Another significant achievement is that Ufone won an award in each category it was nominated in, namely Physical Customer Experience and Online categories. The awards are won by the Ufone Retailer Outreach Program and the Sales Force Automation Program, based on innovation and their impact on business.
The GCMO forum is a senior level forum for all marketing and commercial heads of the Etisalat family to exchange strategic views on the industry, share experiences from different markets and align businesses to the strategic direction of the organization and to become a service provider of choice around the globe. The forum also recognizes innovation in business and operating models within the group by announcing awards in different categories.
Retail Outreach Program was designed to create a bond of trust between the retailer and Ufone. Its smart and cost effective design covers a large retail force with a significantly improved channel performance making our retailers the preferred business partners, which is the hall mark of this success. On the other hand the Sales Force Automation is about eliminating the extra layers that exist between the customer and the company and helps improve time to the market.
