PUSH EMAIL: Individuals
& Corporate Customers can access their
personal (gmail, hotmail & POP3/IMAP
accounts) and corporate emails (MS-Outlook).
You can choose your PUSH email facility
to be delivered to your handset as a SMS
PUSH or WAP PUSH for every new email.
You can configure up to 5
emails accounts simultaneously for an
account on your handset. Each email account
can be used the same as you would through
you computer. |

REMOTE FOLDER SHARING (requires
UConnect application installed on PC):
Remotely access files stored on any online
computer (be it personal or corporate)
from your EDGE/GPRS enabled handset.
File sharing includes MS-Word, Excel,
Powerpoint, Adobe PDF, Notepad, Images
(jpeg, gif, png) and Multimedia files
(mp3, mpeg, avi, wmv, mid, wav) |

the files that are backed up at remote

account will be allotted 512 MB of free data space. |

Peer to Peer Sharing: This new feature will allow users of UConnect to
share files (pictures, music, videos etc) with other users of UConnect (Public
share) or with a selected person or group (Private share) via their handsets or
computers. Once shared users will be able to view or download these files using
their handsets only.
All content uploaded on public folder will only be shared after being approved
by the moderator.
Following are the service details:
Public Level File Sharing:
The public file sharing option allows users to share their file(s) with the
general public. The user will be able to upload his/her file(s) into one of the
numerous existing categories e.g. picture, movies, music, books etc. The file
will be placed in queue to be approved by the moderator.
Once the file is inspected for any inappropriate material, it will be made
available for the all users to access. Users will only be able to download or
view the document via their handsets. For example, if person X uploads a file to
the games category, the moderator will receive a notification (text message and
email) of the submission made. The moderator will check the file and approves
it. Now, person Y can access the file by going to the games category. File once
uploaded can only removed by the moderator.
Public Folder Listing:
All users of UConnect will be able to access the contents of the public folders.
There will be an option on the main screen after the user access their account
via his/her handset to view the public folders. Once the user clicks on the
public share link, they will be able to view all the public categories and the
contents within them.
Private Level Folder Sharing:
The private folder sharing option will allow users to share their folders with
selected people of their choice. If a folder is made privately available, he/she
will specify the persons who will have access that particular folder. The system
will then send out notifications to the added users informing them about the
access they have been granted.
Users will only be able to download or view the contents of the shared folder,
for example, if person X decides to share his private folder with person Y, he
will add him in the list of people which can access the folder. Once person Y is
added to the list, he will receive a notification informing him of the rights he
has on the folder. Person Y can then key in person X’s cell number to view or
download the contents of the shared folder.
Private Level Folder Listing:
The user will be able to navigate to the private folder through the main screen
of the application. The private folder listing will display the private files of
the user.
Moderator Role:
The moderator/administrator will have the rights to create or edit categories
into which the users will be uploading their files.

If the administrator/moderator finds any inappropriate information in the files, they
will be rejected. |

Once the file is approved, it is made available in the category the user specified. |
|
|
The user who uploads the file will be informed of whether the file was accepted or
rejected. |
Accessing Multiple Shared Folders:
If a user wants to access more than one private folder he/she has access to,
user will key in all the phone numbers separated by commas. The system will make
sure the user has access to these folders and then display the folders. The
folder(s) will have the same name as the name of the user under the Ufone
account. |
