The month of Ramzan reminds us of all that we have been blessed with and gives us the opportunity to give back. In this spirit, Ufone’s Ramzan Campaign this year will donate media space and airtime to the passionate Pakistanis who do good things in their own limited capacities and make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged.
The three efforts being promoted in this campaign are:
Khana Ghar founded by Parveen Saeed in Karachi for the sole purpose of providing food to the needy. For the past several years Khana Ghar has fed thousands of people in Karachi each day by serving them warm meals for only Rs. 3.
Dewar-e-Meherbani (Wall of Kindness) was initiated by Omer and Daniyal under the banner of Wadaan in Peshawar, where people keep clothes for others in need. Throughout Ramzan, in addition to clothes, non-perishable food items, shoes and other gift items can also be kept at the Wall of Kindness.
Operation Eid Child, founded by Sharmine Aziz in Islamabad a year ago has enabled thousands of individuals to give back in the form of boxes filled with presents that are distributed amongst children in need, all throughout Ramzan and Eid.
Ufone has also donated the production of public service messages on all mediums, and our media support to these initiatives will give these success stories an even wider reach.
Like these individuals, you too can be a source of happiness for others by joining these causes, or starting one yourself in your own area. Don’t forget to let everyone know of Khana Ghar, Operation Eid Child, and Wadaan or your acts of kindness, by posting them on social media with the hastag #itsallaboutU
Let’s make a difference; the hope for a better tomorrow is U!
